blurbs about a few of the notable places i've been in the media

symposium - opening act

At the Socratica W24 Symposium, I had the privilege of opening the event for over 1000 live attendees, from 3 continents!

I told the story of my decade-long game development journey, through my game Split Second. (I was literally playing the game as I gave the speech). You can watch it at this timestamp!

startups - men's mental health

My friend Rastin and I realized the University of Waterloo did absolutely zero things for Men's Mental Health month in June 2024. So we took it upon ourselves to change that.

We pulled some strings, and eventually this article was published across every faculty-associated outlet at the university!

imprint - pushup challenge

I started and led this Pushup Challenge team in Waterloo, to raise awareness for Men's mental health in February 2024.

Waterloo Imprint picked up the story, and wrote this feature detailing our team, and how we were able to raise over $2,000, assisted by an extravagant pledge which we tracked here.

hack the north - story feature

Hack the North, Canada's largest hackathon, featured me on their front page during the 2022 season; the game I made there led to this year-long project!

Confession time, though: I got HTN mixed up with JamHacksV in my review.

ctv toronto - live interview

After breaking two world records and my CTV features blowing up across Canada, CTV Toronto invited me for a live interview!

It was a super cool experience, and I learned a lot about interviewing and live broadcasting through all the mistakes I made; but it was awesome.

guinness world records - youtube

Guinness' official channel featured one of my world records in their Best of January 2022 video, reaching 350,000+ viewers.

They got the footage from this livestream on my channel, which was where I livestreamed all three of my speedcubing world records.

cbc radio - all points west

For 8 fantastic minutes of my life, I had the privilege of conversing with Kathryn Marlow about speedcubing, hula-hooping, academics, game development, and goal-setting on CBC Radio.

and this guy on twitter liked my writing enough to post about it
